“Don’t Be Barack Obama’s Fool Young America”
Barack Obama has already started an endless series of taxpayer funded promos touting his economic agenda and job creating tax credits. I’ll tell you just like I’d tell my own kid, “Use your head first then ask someone you trust.” Young America, I challenge you to use your own mind first then ask anyone you know that employs non-family workers if Barack Obama is helping or hurting job growth - then make your decision as to whether you ever need to listen to Barack Obama.
Just the numbers alone should scare any person under 50 to death. The President recently flew to the Midwest to celebrate the creation of 600 government stimulated jobs. These are considered ‘boutique’ jobs as in jobs that exist only because someone needed them to be created - not as an outgrowth of ‘business development’. Again, ask anyone you trust if they think you‘ll have a shot at one of those 600 jobs in the Midwest.
Take the example of the mom and pop pizza joint started by a young couple with two small children. They get a great deal on a small spot on a corner that turns into a gold mine franchised first locally then regional suitors came calling. Turns out the couple had a great business model and a great pie. Their ingenuity creates and supports literally 100’s of jobs that are sustainable by customers lined up around the block. A list of service providers like accountants, lawyers, delivery services, payroll services, uniform services and of course the food distributors who also rely on the teamsters - all benefit. These are jobs you can depend on. ‘Barack Obama’ jobs are not just pie in the sky - his policies will put a major dent in the aforementioned industries. Again, ask anyone you trust. Under Barack Obama, this young couple never start that business.
Young America, what’s important to know about Barack Obama and Jobs is that Barack Obama has never created a job - he has only financed jobs. There’s a tremendous difference. In the mom and pop pizza example, these were created jobs. Many employers are simply sitting on their hands hiring only essential employees freezing Barack Obama the Tax Man out until his term runs out in 2012. Why hire now while Obama attaches a web of taxes on employers for new hires?
Of course Obama-ites would say that tax credits for new hires balance out any new hire question to whit I would suggest you inquire as to who they assume to be stupid - us or them. I won’t even suggest that you bother someone you trust on this one. An employer gains a $1,000 tax credit for hiring an employee and is eligible for an additional $3,000 tax credit if the employee is retained for a certain period of time. The employee is paid a salary of $24,000 and another 16,000 for Obamacare Insurance. If I’m an employer, I keep my $40,000, leave that new hire in the ‘maybe later bin’ and give some existing employee overtime.
In this example, it makes sense for the employer to tell Barack Obama he can keep his tax credit. The sustainable job that you’ll need to support your family and buy high end luxuries like homes and cars will be created by tax cuts to those who employ. Those tax cuts to businesses, not individuals, make job creation feasible. Tax credits as an incentive for an employer is naive, stupid or both!
While assessing Barack Obama as a leader capable of making life better for you ask yourself why he or his minions don’t have ideas like this sent to the St. Petersburg Fl. Times Business Section in response to a request for ideas on: "How Would You Fix the Economy?"
Dear Mr. President,
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan":
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered – Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage – Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that!!
P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes..
Mr. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!
This guy might be on to something.
As a final note of rebuttal to the Barack Obama promo I saw, take some time on a pretty day Young America and ride through any housing project in your area. Simply observe the number of small children you see running around. These will be the future able bodied adults that will be supported through life on taxpayer funded entitlements. Also note the number of females of childbearing years sharing space with a crowd of absolutely useless men. This is a big part of what you’ll support with tax dollars levied on you because you’ll get up and go to work.
In short, life’s already a bitch. Don’t be someone’s fool. Barack Obama is endeavoring to sell you a bill of worthless goods Young America.

Some Mistakes are better classified as 'Learning Moments'
Several years ago I wrote an essay entitled ‘The Horror Driven Media’ which detailed the way the media had developed a bad habit of glorifying tragedy in a manner that was so predictable, Va Tech gunman Seung-Hui Cho, was able to send an advance tape to the network (NBC) that distinguished itself in the horror media genre with its coverage of the Columbine Massacre. This sick and twisted soul had a preference for Brian Williams and the main stream media gold standard getting the inside scoop. Seung-Hui Cho’s cry for attention is product of this same horror driven media. Any event that occurs today is spun wildly out of control to the point that distortions often do not resemble fact or reality at all.
Unfortunately, as a writer, prognosticator and even a wonk of sorts, there’s nothing to be gained by assertions that manage to actually predate described events. Even more difficult to explain is pre-cognition but after a careful review of relevant chains of events you’d swear I could see into the future! Pre-cogs are not the threat. Quite the contrary. Pre-cogs see the car accident happening before it occurs but are powerless to do any more than yell. The internet only serves to get out a cautionary message out but cannot really stop anything. My challenge is to translate a relevant message into terms that the masses can relate to.
Works like ‘The Horror Driven Media’ are dark and generally only of interest to other wonks. Ironically, it took an ill-advised tweet to draw attention to several blogs that have been posted in the last several months. Thank God Above that I was thinking more clearly on January 18 of this year when I posted a blog that clearly indicates my hopes for the current Administration and my hope that Joe Biden is never President of the United States for even an hour.
That said, I’m still trying to figure out what manner of brain cramp, senior moment, mid-life crisis meltdown I had for what must have been 5-6 minutes. Maybe it was the result of mole spores or a temporary loss of oxygen to my brain but danggummit I opened my mouth and inserted my foot. America, I did a foolish thing and for this, I am sorry. What I did was wrong and reprehensible even if the comments were a mere compilation of two themes heard from strangers that I’ve interviewed over the last several months.
Invariably, voters have an opinion and are happy to share it especially to a black person who is able to say they are among the few Black Americans who did not vote for Barack Obama. I marvel at some of what my fellow White Americans think and say when they can speak freely. Being careful to avoid indelicacy – White Folks are upset. So much so that in my quest to push the envelope in an attempt to see how deep rooted the sentiment is, I punched a hole in the envelope that requires a delicate repair.
As an American, by example, I must claim my responsibility for the moment I created but my sense of appropriateness dictates that I accept this unfortunate mistake as a ‘Learning Moment’ rather than a simple mistake. Learning Moment, because it more accurately describes what I should hope to gain from the experience.
If it only ended there, life would be good and I could simply drink a beer and get over it. Unfortunately, for a regular American, things aren’t that simple these days. America has changed so fast, I am dizzy and I’m not the only one.
When the President alleged that the Cambridge Police Department acted stupidly, he put the entire force in danger and in particular the lone African-American that stood in the foreground of an infamous photo of the handcuffed and crippled professor. The President invites the officer and the professor to the White House in the aftermath, for a beer so he could use the opportunity as a “Teaching Moment”. I guess the bottom line is that there’s a new standard of conduct in America and as regular citizens we’ll just have to adapt but it won’t be easy for some and may be impossible for others.
Since my inappropriate posting, I’ve told not less than a half dozen people to refrain from saying things like those that wound up online. My curiosity still led me to attempt crafting a language that would enable onliners to respond to reading what Americans are saying on the street everyday. Sentiments expressed on my post should have been inserted in the body of a larger document that explained more clearly how and where the sentiments were gathered.
A little old lady at the pet store just fired from her $45,000/yr job, has a colostomy bag and is losing her insurance in another week. As soon as I identified a perfect subject I was able to go right through my normal interview process. I whispered to the woman, “Mam, did you vote for Barack Obama? She replied, “No, but didn’t you? I thought all Black people voted for Barack Obama.” Within moments, she uttered a sentiment similar to the one posted yesterday.
Though a little shocked at how blunt she was I managed to keep the conversation lively until it was necessary to remind her that some of her comments were quite inappropriate and by statute – illegal. This just seemed to embolden her even more. You can about imagine where this is going. Someone, who should remain nameless, came up with the bright idea to test her sentiment online using an altered language meant to take some to the sting out. Absent appropriate context, the reader had reason to assume the worst. Though I can continue to try to educate others about what is and is not appropriate language in casual conversation and online, I must accept that “first we learn – then we teach.”
And what about Wanda Sykes? She is definitely SOMEBODY as opposed to my being a relative unknown and in the presence of the White House Press Corp, the sitting President, Barack Obama and our Secret Service that protects him, Wanda Sykes suggested that former VP Dick Cheyney should contract an illness and die. After a few shrieks, oohs and ahhs the incident was all but ignored by the main stream media and only shown and discussed on Fox as an example of political double standards in this country. I haven’t seen on the internet anywhere that Wanda Sykes is being pursued for urging the former VP to contract a disease and die but is this not language that is worthy of governmental rebuke and public scorn? The President just sat there as one of his Presidential Brethren was under attack by a comedienne. I guess it’s all good as long as life and death talk is about George Bush or Dick Cheyney. Something seems inherently wrong with this.
I have always maintained that, as a writer, only certain forms of notoriety are acceptable. For instance, I would not appreciate becoming famous or selling books because I was made famous due to a mistake or an error in practical judgment. It’s like the guy who knew the rumor on the street that he’d slept with a girl in the neighborhood was false but allowed neighbors to believe it anyway. I would know the commercial success was not the result of successful labor but instead came as a result of inadvertent hysteria.
Lastly, as this ramble needs a worthwhile conclusion, Numerologists and life prognosticators empirically predict that August is a month for the President to lay low. No overseas travel, no hang gliding, no surfing, no parachuting etc and for God’s Sake he should limit air travel. Seriously. Given that no private U.S. citizens can influence these events - this can only be construed as a Presidential Pro-Life advisory.
The last thing any literate American wants is for Joe Biden to be President for even an hour.

Welfare Reform Would Pave Way For Healthcare Reform
It’s the difference between paper brilliance and the real thing. Barack Obama hasn’t had a good idea since he took office. Most of his ideas to date have been - dare I say it - stupid.
The stimulus will ultimately be one of Obama’s costliest failures, with Cash for Clunkers winning an award for ‘Most Ill-conceived’ but Cap & Trade and Healthcare/Health Insurance/Healthcare/Health Insurance Reform will go down as near misses dashed in the eleventh hour by the voters in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
It has to be clear to every literate American by now that electing Barack Obama was a terrible mistake. I am so proud to be an American. With the greatest honor I could give to this county being the sacrifice of my life to save the President, I just wouldn’t feel the same sense of honor taking a bullet for Barack Obama. Quite honestly, the only reason I’d even consider taking a bullet for Obama would be to save the country from a moment of a Joe Biden presidency.
I have literally grown to despise the person I perceive Barack Obama to be. This part of my rant starts with him bowing and scraping all over the world making apologies for my country. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t alone in feeling sick all over seeing him dishonor this nation. What he did was the act of a traitor. American Heads of State don’t bow anywhere in the world. We are second to no nation, no sovereignty, no union and no republic. We make no apologies for wars, accidents or things that can not be changed regardless of present day points of view. Barack Obama is not worthy of making an apology for me or for my country.
On some level I have to question the kind of man Obama is. On his first trip to the Middle East, he quivered like a frightened puppy at the sound of a cannon blast. Again, I was ashamed of him and wished at that moment and at this very moment that Barack Obama had never been elected President of the United States. He is becoming our enemy. I could say it a thousand different ways but in the interest of time let me just be clear - we must get Barack Obama out of the Oval Office and out of the White House as soon as is reasonably possible.
While the ‘taxpaying’ portion of the American Electorate runs the clock out on the Obama Presidency at the ballot box and a ‘fiscally responsible’ congress is hired to stop the reckless spending in Washington, now is a perfect time to advance some reforms designed to reduce the debt load on taxpayers resulting from entitlements. A reform of the current welfare system would trim tens of billions of dollars from the federal budget, drastically reduce teen and young adult pregnancies while putting an incalculable dent in crime across the country.
The process would start with taking the profit out of simply breeding babies. Working people have little time to notice this little debt black hole but taxpayers pay a heavy price for every low or no income illegitimate child born in this country each year. We actually pay cash money to the irresponsible parent to raise the child they brought into the world. These offspring grow into adulthood either destined for poverty, crime, drugs, more breeding or some combination thereof. What makes no sense is that we, as taxpayers, willingly allow our money to be spent to subsidize the breeding of human debt. Removing the financial incentive for having welfare babies will reduce the number of welfare babies.
Low and no-income mothers can continue to conceive babies with any Tom, Dick or Harry but if the mother can’t pay any and all hospital delivery charges and produce proof of an ability to support the child at the time of her discharge, the baby will stay briefly at the hospital and then be immediately placed into federal foster care where the infant can be legally adopted by a federally approved family. If the mother (and father) want to assume custody of the child prior to its being assigned for disposition by a federal magistrate, all monies for delivery services must paid in full and an approved source(s) of income absent government assistance must be substantiated and approved before the child is ever released to the parents. Support your child or relinquish it so the government can do the job but don’t expect to be paid by the government to raise your own kids.
As soon as this federal welfare regulation takes effect in 2012, suddenly Sally Sue isn’t so sure she wants to assume financial responsibility for the child she might conceive with a man she knows to be useless. Sally Sue will no longer give birth to a government supported baby to take home. No government ATM card, no free rent, no free healthcare - no free anything. Either pay for the children born after a certain date or surrender government supported children to the people that are paying for them. Simple.
Identify orphaned babies anywhere in world and out of nowhere baby craving couples show up with money and hope. The earth creviced mightily in Haiti and the devastation left countless dead and thousands orphaned. Couples desperate enough to adopt a Haitian baby should be willing to adopt any child born in the U.S. I don’t think much of Haiti, its animal sacrificing religions, its crooked government or its grimy people. You couldn’t give me a Haitian baby or convince me that there’s a Haitian alive that I’d want living in my neighborhood. Ask Miami residents if they ever want to see another Haitian. They are bad news and always have been.
Now comes our Emperor offering up $100 Billion to a country and a culture not worth a 1/10 of that amount of money. If this guarantee is a part of Obama’s plan to redistribute our wealth to the Haitians, he‘s a bigger liability to America than once thought. I object to the spending of one dime more than is needed to clear debris, bury the dead, build a few thousand huts, a few schools, hospitals and stores. At that point, call it a day and leave them with the same lives they had before.
If his grand gesture of financial support was more an effort to show up George Bush over the Katrina response, someone needs to let Mr. Obama know we’re over what happened in New Orleans. The savages that preyed on fellow storm victims in the Super Dome and their relative savages who victimized every city that rolled out a welcome mat are the same type people in Haiti that will pocket most of our $100 Billion. Stop payment on the $100B, level the damaged buildings, erect huts better than the ones they were living in before, modernize a few hospitals, build a few decent stores, some schools and pull up stakes.
I’m not advocating the abolishment of aid around the world or entitlements at home but instead, demanding that every tax dollar given to an individual, organization or country be accounted for and reviewed annually. If payments are made for the support of dependent children, amounts should be adjusted by school performance and classroom comportment. Food stamps and other food subsidies should not be transferable, not negotiated for cash or used to purchase unauthorized goods. Residences subsidized by tax dollars should be available for routine inspection by appropriate authorities. These new more stringent regulations will apply to domestic entitlements but should also be used to reshape spending abroad.
It was likely a ‘liberal minded’ individual that decided the poor need to be given money, food and lodging to make America a better place. They were wrong. If you don’t want to work or you refuse to work and are able to work, you should suffer the consequences of hunger and homelessness right here in America. If you then find your initiative but find it on the wrong side of the law, get caught, charged and convicted… come on down. We’ve got some work for you to do. I’m not talking about collecting trash along a highway. I’m talking about whatever type work the government might need up to and including the frontline of any war we may be fighting.
This last idea is a favorite of most Right Thinking Black Americans I know. If a man won’t work, contributes only to the national debt by reproducing babies he won’t support and consistently can’t find the right side of the law - send him directly to boot camp from the lock-up. Crime will drop, pregnancies will drop, folks will work or starve, the armed services will be fortified and more of our tax dollars can stay in the treasury or better yet back in our pockets where all good tax dollars should go.
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton can start woofing about proposed welfare initiatives now and get a jump on the race baiting they’ll both try to promote and profit from when Barack Obama is voted out of office in 2012. The real joke is that anyone still bothers listening to either of these clowns. Jackson is still lying about his role in the aftermath of the King assassination and Sharpton has been a lying sack of goo since the Tawana Brawley charade. Still, their whining will have to be dealt with but taking the profit out of breeding debt and getting useless male sloth off the street will make the Jackson/Sharpton blather a minor annoyance easily dismissed. They have little or no real influence among the literate anyway.
So far, what have we done? Established a few hard rules for the nation’s government dependents, created thousands of societal service jobs across the country, revoked cash handouts to those who neither earn nor vote and replaced their handouts with a motivation to earn for survival. Adult non-working, non-law abiding males are now routinely incarcerated to a battlefield of the government’s choosing. Piece of cake.
The beauty of this plan is that it could be pushed through congress with bi-partisan support because taxpaying, campaign contributing voters would overwhelmingly support the overhaul of several welfare entitlement programs. If the effort saves billions of wasted handout dollars, those savings can be applied to paying down the national debt and making healthcare affordable for those needing to purchase it. We must, while reducing healthcare costs, remain steadfast in our resolve that it is not government’s job to take care of us unless we’re unable to take care of ourselves.
I won’t be so bold as to claim brilliance for myself or my theory of ‘welfare reform’ but what I can say with certainty is that this type reform would set the stage for a belt tightening that would dramatically reduce perilously high deficits. The problem with Barack Obama’s brilliance on the economy, the presidency or anything else is that his is paper brilliance; lacking in practical value. In other words, his paper brilliance is useless and is the reason that absolutely nothing he has tried, especially healthcare reform, has been successful. The lies now being told to explain the failings of his administration are laughable and his party is bailing out on him as fast as pressers can be scheduled. Instead of delivering brilliance, Mr. Obama has become a cancer of sorts on his party and the country for that matter.
As he concludes his great four year reign as King of America, Barack Obama will take credit for rescuing the country from the brink of a second “Great Depression” while fighting the poor, dumb, ignorant, bible thumping, gun totin’ American People over healthcare reform and personally saving or creating millions upon millions of paper jobs borne of his brilliance. I could pen another 100,000 words describing how little practical brilliance Barack Obama has but some hindsight brilliance of my own may lend more credibility to the conclusion of this blog rant.
Just after the passage of the stimulus spendulus bill is when Barack Obama needed the benefit of real brilliance. Instead of turning the healthcare reform bill process over to his own party in the persons of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, he should have let Reid & Pelosi rally the Dems while he huddled with Republicans John Boehner and Mitch McConnell. Instead of reminding the minority that they lost, throw your arm around them and escort them into your confidence. Hear their ideas. Tell them it’ll take miraculous bi-partisanship on their parts if passage of healthcare reform was even possible. Let Boehner and McConnell report to the press the results of talks directly with the POTUS!
Boehner nor McConnell could have objected to the meetings and given an apparent willingness on the part of the President to confer one on one with the minority would have cemented his brilliance as an alliance builder. In my hypothetical, 44s PR machine would have labeled him the genius able to single-handedly affect bi-partisan solutions to major problems needing immediate attention.
Speaking little in discussions with both sides other than to express an interest in potential solutions from varying viewpoints would have enabled Obama to allow the brilliance of others to shine. This is what the old guys called leadership. At some point in the process, bi-partisan consensus on healthcare reform would have been reached by the normal give and take. The two parties would find a way to resolve their differences at one table with the door locked behind them. Even absent a solid agreement, a modified bill could have passed both houses of congress and been signed by the President had both sides agreed on a good faith bi-partisan effort at the outset.
There! Brilliance in a few long paragraphs. Issues that ultimately smothered Obamacare to death are mitigated and converted into advantages using a more tactful and proven approach. Experience you don’t get as a community organizer. By locking Republicans out of the negotiations they clamored to be included in, the Democrats affectively locked out the American People and created a bad situation unnecessarily. The Dems may have discussed nothing more important than the horrible season the Redskins were having while being camped out in their closed door sessions.
Those highly publicized closed door healthcare reform negotiations may have enabled the Democratic Leadership to get to know each other better but irreparable damage to the reform effort had already been done. When healthcare reform dies a quiet death, the Dems will have been their own worst enemy and Barack Obama will have missed an opportunity to lead his party and his country brilliantly. An opportunity he’ll not likely be trusted with ever again.
I doubted that Barack Obama ever had the brilliance to affect worthwhile change before his campaign ever began. He impresses me as a phony person, with a phony smile and a hidden personality. He is covering some shortcoming that would explain his poor job performance. Obama will likely not be capable of handling the Presidency effectively even after his four years in office are over. He will, however, be able to eloquently read from his teleprompters why the people around him failed to get him re-elected. Then he’ll take responsibility for the shortcomings of the people he hand selected. Even in defeat his brilliance is predictable.
The stimulus will ultimately be one of Obama’s costliest failures, with Cash for Clunkers winning an award for ‘Most Ill-conceived’ but Cap & Trade and Healthcare/Health Insurance/Healthcare/Health Insurance Reform will go down as near misses dashed in the eleventh hour by the voters in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
It has to be clear to every literate American by now that electing Barack Obama was a terrible mistake. I am so proud to be an American. With the greatest honor I could give to this county being the sacrifice of my life to save the President, I just wouldn’t feel the same sense of honor taking a bullet for Barack Obama. Quite honestly, the only reason I’d even consider taking a bullet for Obama would be to save the country from a moment of a Joe Biden presidency.
I have literally grown to despise the person I perceive Barack Obama to be. This part of my rant starts with him bowing and scraping all over the world making apologies for my country. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t alone in feeling sick all over seeing him dishonor this nation. What he did was the act of a traitor. American Heads of State don’t bow anywhere in the world. We are second to no nation, no sovereignty, no union and no republic. We make no apologies for wars, accidents or things that can not be changed regardless of present day points of view. Barack Obama is not worthy of making an apology for me or for my country.
On some level I have to question the kind of man Obama is. On his first trip to the Middle East, he quivered like a frightened puppy at the sound of a cannon blast. Again, I was ashamed of him and wished at that moment and at this very moment that Barack Obama had never been elected President of the United States. He is becoming our enemy. I could say it a thousand different ways but in the interest of time let me just be clear - we must get Barack Obama out of the Oval Office and out of the White House as soon as is reasonably possible.
While the ‘taxpaying’ portion of the American Electorate runs the clock out on the Obama Presidency at the ballot box and a ‘fiscally responsible’ congress is hired to stop the reckless spending in Washington, now is a perfect time to advance some reforms designed to reduce the debt load on taxpayers resulting from entitlements. A reform of the current welfare system would trim tens of billions of dollars from the federal budget, drastically reduce teen and young adult pregnancies while putting an incalculable dent in crime across the country.
The process would start with taking the profit out of simply breeding babies. Working people have little time to notice this little debt black hole but taxpayers pay a heavy price for every low or no income illegitimate child born in this country each year. We actually pay cash money to the irresponsible parent to raise the child they brought into the world. These offspring grow into adulthood either destined for poverty, crime, drugs, more breeding or some combination thereof. What makes no sense is that we, as taxpayers, willingly allow our money to be spent to subsidize the breeding of human debt. Removing the financial incentive for having welfare babies will reduce the number of welfare babies.
Low and no-income mothers can continue to conceive babies with any Tom, Dick or Harry but if the mother can’t pay any and all hospital delivery charges and produce proof of an ability to support the child at the time of her discharge, the baby will stay briefly at the hospital and then be immediately placed into federal foster care where the infant can be legally adopted by a federally approved family. If the mother (and father) want to assume custody of the child prior to its being assigned for disposition by a federal magistrate, all monies for delivery services must paid in full and an approved source(s) of income absent government assistance must be substantiated and approved before the child is ever released to the parents. Support your child or relinquish it so the government can do the job but don’t expect to be paid by the government to raise your own kids.
As soon as this federal welfare regulation takes effect in 2012, suddenly Sally Sue isn’t so sure she wants to assume financial responsibility for the child she might conceive with a man she knows to be useless. Sally Sue will no longer give birth to a government supported baby to take home. No government ATM card, no free rent, no free healthcare - no free anything. Either pay for the children born after a certain date or surrender government supported children to the people that are paying for them. Simple.
Identify orphaned babies anywhere in world and out of nowhere baby craving couples show up with money and hope. The earth creviced mightily in Haiti and the devastation left countless dead and thousands orphaned. Couples desperate enough to adopt a Haitian baby should be willing to adopt any child born in the U.S. I don’t think much of Haiti, its animal sacrificing religions, its crooked government or its grimy people. You couldn’t give me a Haitian baby or convince me that there’s a Haitian alive that I’d want living in my neighborhood. Ask Miami residents if they ever want to see another Haitian. They are bad news and always have been.
Now comes our Emperor offering up $100 Billion to a country and a culture not worth a 1/10 of that amount of money. If this guarantee is a part of Obama’s plan to redistribute our wealth to the Haitians, he‘s a bigger liability to America than once thought. I object to the spending of one dime more than is needed to clear debris, bury the dead, build a few thousand huts, a few schools, hospitals and stores. At that point, call it a day and leave them with the same lives they had before.
If his grand gesture of financial support was more an effort to show up George Bush over the Katrina response, someone needs to let Mr. Obama know we’re over what happened in New Orleans. The savages that preyed on fellow storm victims in the Super Dome and their relative savages who victimized every city that rolled out a welcome mat are the same type people in Haiti that will pocket most of our $100 Billion. Stop payment on the $100B, level the damaged buildings, erect huts better than the ones they were living in before, modernize a few hospitals, build a few decent stores, some schools and pull up stakes.
I’m not advocating the abolishment of aid around the world or entitlements at home but instead, demanding that every tax dollar given to an individual, organization or country be accounted for and reviewed annually. If payments are made for the support of dependent children, amounts should be adjusted by school performance and classroom comportment. Food stamps and other food subsidies should not be transferable, not negotiated for cash or used to purchase unauthorized goods. Residences subsidized by tax dollars should be available for routine inspection by appropriate authorities. These new more stringent regulations will apply to domestic entitlements but should also be used to reshape spending abroad.
It was likely a ‘liberal minded’ individual that decided the poor need to be given money, food and lodging to make America a better place. They were wrong. If you don’t want to work or you refuse to work and are able to work, you should suffer the consequences of hunger and homelessness right here in America. If you then find your initiative but find it on the wrong side of the law, get caught, charged and convicted… come on down. We’ve got some work for you to do. I’m not talking about collecting trash along a highway. I’m talking about whatever type work the government might need up to and including the frontline of any war we may be fighting.
This last idea is a favorite of most Right Thinking Black Americans I know. If a man won’t work, contributes only to the national debt by reproducing babies he won’t support and consistently can’t find the right side of the law - send him directly to boot camp from the lock-up. Crime will drop, pregnancies will drop, folks will work or starve, the armed services will be fortified and more of our tax dollars can stay in the treasury or better yet back in our pockets where all good tax dollars should go.
Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton can start woofing about proposed welfare initiatives now and get a jump on the race baiting they’ll both try to promote and profit from when Barack Obama is voted out of office in 2012. The real joke is that anyone still bothers listening to either of these clowns. Jackson is still lying about his role in the aftermath of the King assassination and Sharpton has been a lying sack of goo since the Tawana Brawley charade. Still, their whining will have to be dealt with but taking the profit out of breeding debt and getting useless male sloth off the street will make the Jackson/Sharpton blather a minor annoyance easily dismissed. They have little or no real influence among the literate anyway.
So far, what have we done? Established a few hard rules for the nation’s government dependents, created thousands of societal service jobs across the country, revoked cash handouts to those who neither earn nor vote and replaced their handouts with a motivation to earn for survival. Adult non-working, non-law abiding males are now routinely incarcerated to a battlefield of the government’s choosing. Piece of cake.
The beauty of this plan is that it could be pushed through congress with bi-partisan support because taxpaying, campaign contributing voters would overwhelmingly support the overhaul of several welfare entitlement programs. If the effort saves billions of wasted handout dollars, those savings can be applied to paying down the national debt and making healthcare affordable for those needing to purchase it. We must, while reducing healthcare costs, remain steadfast in our resolve that it is not government’s job to take care of us unless we’re unable to take care of ourselves.
I won’t be so bold as to claim brilliance for myself or my theory of ‘welfare reform’ but what I can say with certainty is that this type reform would set the stage for a belt tightening that would dramatically reduce perilously high deficits. The problem with Barack Obama’s brilliance on the economy, the presidency or anything else is that his is paper brilliance; lacking in practical value. In other words, his paper brilliance is useless and is the reason that absolutely nothing he has tried, especially healthcare reform, has been successful. The lies now being told to explain the failings of his administration are laughable and his party is bailing out on him as fast as pressers can be scheduled. Instead of delivering brilliance, Mr. Obama has become a cancer of sorts on his party and the country for that matter.
As he concludes his great four year reign as King of America, Barack Obama will take credit for rescuing the country from the brink of a second “Great Depression” while fighting the poor, dumb, ignorant, bible thumping, gun totin’ American People over healthcare reform and personally saving or creating millions upon millions of paper jobs borne of his brilliance. I could pen another 100,000 words describing how little practical brilliance Barack Obama has but some hindsight brilliance of my own may lend more credibility to the conclusion of this blog rant.

See mom, I told you I was too dark to be President!
See mom, I told you I was too dark to be President! What a shame. Degree from a major southern university, editor of the college paper, a mastery of the King’s English with a secondary skill for talking street jive yet lacking the one trait that separates the best colored people from the rest - Light skin.
That’s right. I used the term Colored! Any Black American that has lived long enough knows that Negro and Colored were terms used interchangeably to describe what we now call Black Americans. Of course, to call a person ‘Black’ in 1960 was an indescribable insult. In my lifetime, people who claim African Negroid persuasion have been called Colored, Negro, Afro & African American and now it is politically correct to simply say Black. Of course there’s a gray area between each of these terms and some rather offensive variations. Where would the term ‘epithet’ fit into society without the term Negro.
In an effort to respect the delicate sensibilities of my readers I offer this simple disclaimer: This text will offend some, engage some and enrage others but please understand that the information is offered to broaden perspectives and contribute to the debate that is obviously just beginning. One of my heroes, Dr. Vernon Johns, was known to say: “When you come up on a good fight - get in it!” This posting would be my first salvo into one of the silliest disagreements of our modern culture. Light-skinnededness.
My first day of school 44 years ago followed the 1954 Supreme Court ruling on Brown v Board of Education desegregating public schools. On that very exciting first day, I sat with all the other children in tiny little desks as moms completed paperwork around the room. I’d never noticed my mother as being particularly light-skinned. At age 6, I probably figured that because my dad was dark, mother was supposed to be light.
As I think back on that day, my mom appeared to be even lighter than the white moms. I had no idea that white people intentionally laid out in the sun to darken themselves. My attention quickly turned to the fact that there were so few dark faces in the class which made me a little uncomfortable. Truth be told, I was already a little homesick after an hour. Two other dark children were in the class but little Jimmy looked like a boy sized doll and Greta was the daughter of a local minister who’d been recently elected to the school board. Little Jimmy and I figured out pretty quick that Greta was somehow more ‘precious’ than we were. Little Jimmy and I hated Greta.

1966 photos of Santa’s surprise visit to our first grade Christmas party there were several shots of moms who were darker than mommy on the first day of school but now lighter. I began to question why mommy appeared to be whiter than some of the other moms sometime but not at other times and how she was my mom and I was not-so-light and so on… I remember this took up the better part of an afternoon and my sense was that she was being overly delicate for a reason that I could exploit. The afternoon ended with a trip to the new sandwich shop that everyone was talking about. It’s still called McDonald’s all these years later. On the way home she did what all good moms do, she reassured me that I was special whether I was light, dark or something in between.
I was a generally happy kid whether in the company of whites or blacks so when moms was sure the pressure of such a new situation or my being one of so few colored children wasn’t troubling me she seemed more at ease. I never could get across to her that the source of my real pain was that monkey-faced Greta.
During the summer following first grade, mom recalled that I spoke very properly for a six year old and credited the school as being better than the Black school that an older brother had attended. He is the darker of us and speaks the Negro dialect exclusively. He never had a chance at the Presidency. Thankfully I still speak properly when appropriate and do a mean imitation of a white male over the phone but alas, I am still too dark to be elected President of the United States according to Senator Harry Reid of Nevada.
Now comes Barack Hussein Obama. Light-skinned enough to be elected President and without the burden of a Negro/Colored dialect. Harry Reid’s racial remarks set off a firestorm that will fester for a few days and be replaced with another public distraction. The real reward for Mr. Reid’s deeds will come on national ‘OUST A DEMOCRAT DAY’ to be celebrated all over the country on election day 11/2/10. November 3rd 2010 will find Democrats planning their departure from Washington two by two.
While we wait for election day, someone needs to warn everyone else who crossed Bill and Hillary Clinton that heads have already rolled and more are subject to roll. In the old Clinton days, Hillary ‘The Black Widow’ Clinton did not leave survivors when someone crossed the first family of POTUS 42. We all know the Clinton‘s don‘t discriminate when meting out retribution.
Ron Brown had some bright ideas for sharing about Bill upon his return from abroad but after a mysterious plane crash and an unexplained .45 caliber size hole in his head, Brown had no more stories to tell. Vince Foster was verging on Whitewater disclosure only to find assisted suicide in the offing. I visited the park where a Ranger found him and watched the History Channel account of his death. His was no suicide.
Tom Daschle and Bill Richardson are present day Clinton memories and in November, Senator Harry Reid will join his brethren on the junk heap of saps who had the temerity to cross the Clintons. As the main lynchpin in the coup that secretly delivered super Dem delegates to Obama, Ted Kennedy faced a slow and deliberate death which some would argue he deserved for leaving that poor pregnant girl in the water to drown but those of us who think we know Hillary Rodham Clinton sense her satisfaction that Ted Kennedy is gone no matter what took him out. To Hill, dead is dead and crossing a Clinton is almost certainly going to lead to the death of something or someone. Mind your manners future son-in-law cause accidents do happen.
With the Democratic party in shambles following declining poll numbers, retirements and a bad healthcare bill latched around their necks, party head Obama is left wondering what happened to all the political capital he had only a few months ago. Also looming on the political horizon is the distinct possibility that he has fallen so far from the grace of the American people that he’s unable to win another four years. Right about now he could be questioning whether anything that he’s been speechifying about around the clock will ever really happen. Questions about his skin color, given his day to day failures as President, must make Obama wonder if Americans aren’t stupid as well as gullible.
I have always suspected that Obama married Michelle Robinson in part because of her father’s connection to the Daly Crime Family but also because he needed a dark-skinned woman to assist with his transformation into an ‘acceptable-to-black people’ American Black Man. Barry was already as close to white as he needed to be according to the Reid Standard. He could just as easily have married Elin Woods’ twin sister but his ‘racial dynamic’ would have been far less formidable and he would have had no blackness mentor.
Occasionally, Barack and Michelle have inadvertently disclosed that she instructed him on what music he had to listen to and how he needed to act to eventually convince the Harry Reid’s of the world that he was an ‘acceptable’ Black to present to the unsuspecting black and white American Electorate. Remember that Obama made his transition to full Blackness when he joined Rev. Wright’s Trinity Church. This step cemented his blackness but unfortunately cost him his memory of any Wright sermons.
Michelle taught Barack courses in Blackness 101 and 201 on just how to convince the world that he was really a ‘black‘ black American. My guess is that Barack was an abject failure at trying to be Black so off to Trinity Church they went. There he saw and heard the kind of Blackness that serve as the foundation for the fraud that he’s presently perpetrating on the American people. It’s also the reason that he screwed up the Gates arrest comment so badly. He tried to comment on a Black issue as a Black man and failed horribly as frauds often do.
Harry Reid had it right and the authors of Game Change should be given a pat on the back for providing America with a reason to laugh during an awfully tough time. Barack Obama was once skilled at convincing people that his brilliance would deliver us and solve America’s problems. The main problem is that Harry Reid found us a Light-Skinned ‘Pitchman’, not a ‘Statesman’. For this reason and others too numerous to mention, Barack Obama can’t possibly succeed with his agenda because absent speeches, he has no real skills that will serve him in the Oval Office. It’s a shame he can’t really call on his experience as a Community Organizer.

With the Democratic party in shambles following declining poll numbers, retirements and a bad healthcare bill latched around their necks, party head Obama is left wondering what happened to all the political capital he had only a few months ago. Also looming on the political horizon is the distinct possibility that he has fallen so far from the grace of the American people that he’s unable to win another four years. Right about now he could be questioning whether anything that he’s been speechifying about around the clock will ever really happen. Questions about his skin color, given his day to day failures as President, must make Obama wonder if Americans aren’t stupid as well as gullible.
I have always suspected that Obama married Michelle Robinson in part because of her father’s connection to the Daly Crime Family but also because he needed a dark-skinned woman to assist with his transformation into an ‘acceptable-to-black people’ American Black Man. Barry was already as close to white as he needed to be according to the Reid Standard. He could just as easily have married Elin Woods’ twin sister but his ‘racial dynamic’ would have been far less formidable and he would have had no blackness mentor.
Occasionally, Barack and Michelle have inadvertently disclosed that she instructed him on what music he had to listen to and how he needed to act to eventually convince the Harry Reid’s of the world that he was an ‘acceptable’ Black to present to the unsuspecting black and white American Electorate. Remember that Obama made his transition to full Blackness when he joined Rev. Wright’s Trinity Church. This step cemented his blackness but unfortunately cost him his memory of any Wright sermons.
Michelle taught Barack courses in Blackness 101 and 201 on just how to convince the world that he was really a ‘black‘ black American. My guess is that Barack was an abject failure at trying to be Black so off to Trinity Church they went. There he saw and heard the kind of Blackness that serve as the foundation for the fraud that he’s presently perpetrating on the American people. It’s also the reason that he screwed up the Gates arrest comment so badly. He tried to comment on a Black issue as a Black man and failed horribly as frauds often do.
Harry Reid had it right and the authors of Game Change should be given a pat on the back for providing America with a reason to laugh during an awfully tough time. Barack Obama was once skilled at convincing people that his brilliance would deliver us and solve America’s problems. The main problem is that Harry Reid found us a Light-Skinned ‘Pitchman’, not a ‘Statesman’. For this reason and others too numerous to mention, Barack Obama can’t possibly succeed with his agenda because absent speeches, he has no real skills that will serve him in the Oval Office. It’s a shame he can’t really call on his experience as a Community Organizer.
Where is Colin Luther Powell when you need him?! He’s everything we need right now and he’s light enough just like Obama.
